New Research Librarian for Business Brings Wealth of Experience to UCI

Harold Gee

The UCI Libraries welcomed Harold Gee as the new Research Librarian for Business in December 2003. Gee is highly qualified to provide a wide array of research services to the Graduate School of Management (GSM) due to his strong background as an academic and corporate business librarian and various positions as a financial executive.

“I am very glad to be here and am ready to serve GSM students and faculty, and the UCI community,”said Gee, who comes to UCI from Baruch College of the City University of New York, where he had a strong record of providing specialized business research and consultation services. Gee has an impressive knowledge of both electronic and print resources in business and management. He previous worked as a trainer and consultant with LexisNexis, and served as librarian for several financial services corporations in New York City. Prior to becoming a librarian, he was a successful financial analyst and account executive at American Airlines, Paine Webber, and Shearson Lehman Brothers. His educational credentials include an M.B.A. in Finance from St. John’s, a Master of Library Science from Queens College, and a B.S. in Management and Finance from New York University.
