This past summer, the Libraries Multimedia Resources Center (MRC), formerly in Langson Library, moved to the first floor of the Ayala Science Library in the space previously occupied by the Interactive Learning Center on the first floor of the library. The completely renovated Center is now a high performance digital media, study and collaboration space for students to use for digital projects, presentations, and assignments.

One of the many new high performance spaces in the MRC.

As a 21st century research library, the Libraries are transforming how learning is accomplished by promoting new and emerging technologies that benefit students, faculty and staff. Our goal is to provide our users with easy access to digital resources with a focus on new tools and services that advance the learning experience.

The newly configured space offers a service desk, three classrooms that when not in use can be used as computer labs, three digital media viewing and collaboration rooms, and a high performance digital collaboration and viewing area. The MRC continues to house an extraordinary media collection and a vast repository of multimedia tools that allow students to learn, collaborate, and create content in all disciplines.

In addition to these enhanced services, the move to Ayala Science Library allows the Libraries to provide longer hours of operation during the week and more than doubles weekend hours. It also places the MRC in close proximity to the new Writing Center which opened in Ayala Science Library this Fall.
