Joan Irvine Smith to Discuss A California Woman's Story

In Memoriam: Sylvia Sticha Holden Robb

On December 13th, the Libraries will present Joan Irvine Smith in a program and book signing to celebrate the publication of her new book, A California Woman’s Story. Mrs. Smith will talk about her book, and guests may purchase signed copies.

A California Woman’s Story is a spectacular compilation of visual art from painting to photography depicting the beauty of Orange County and California. Richly illustrated with 1,600 images, the 750-page book details the history of early Orange County, and provides information about Mrs. Smith’s personal history, from her birth to her marriages, her interest in collecting art, and her ongoing efforts to preserve and protect California’s natural environment and cultural and historical monuments.

The event will be held at 6:00 pm in Langson Library and is free and open to the public.
