Library Renovations Update
The Science Library Grand Reading Room underwent a major transformation both in appearance and lighting enhancements over the summer. The existing "stadium" style lighting was removed and replaced with a more subtle design that disperses light more evenly. The new fixtures reduce energy costs while also improving the ambiance in an academic environment. In addition, the relocation of a major service point, an improved user friendly desk, along with new carpet and paint enhance the aesthetics of the room while continuing to serve students and faculty. The project was completed in September in time for the beginning of the fall quarter.
