Named Library Collection Funds
One of the Libraries' highest priorities is "Building Collections of Excellence." Ground-breaking faculty research and high-quality student instruction are not possible without first-rate library collections of print and electronic materials. Leadership gifts help the Libraries acquire traditional and advanced materials that enhance the value of a student's educational experience and lead researchers to new discoveries.
- Named collection endowments create a legacy of a stable funding to acquire important journals, books and other materials.
- Named expendable funds provide flexibility to meet immediate needs for cutting-edge research publications in new programs and emerging disciplines.
We sincerely appreciate our donors who have established a Named Library Fund in support of the collections.
Leadership gifts of $25,000 or more establish a fund in the donor's name or in honor of someone special in their lives. A Digital Bookplate is created for each title that is acquired with the donor fund, and a link to it is made in the online catalog record. Donors may select one of five bookplate images that represent the Libraries and the UCI campus. Collection fund gifts of $50,000 or more entitle the donor to a specially designed bookplate in their honor.
Donors receive much recognition, but the greatest reward is the satisfaction of knowing that you will be supporting the intellectual work of every UCI faculty member and student now and for generations to come.
