Libraries of Excellence
The UC Irvine Libraries encompass the core of scholarly life at the University: the creation and sharing of knowledge. The Libraries support each of UCI's 25,000 faculty and students as they conduct research of the highest quality, engage in first-rate academic instruction, and undertake meaningful public service. Librarians are active partners of the faculty, students and community members who engage in research and lifelong learning.
Research Staff and Support
Librarians are partners with faculty and students providing essential individual and personalized research services. We cultivate a dynamic environment that attracts, retains, and values highly competent and creative employees. Our librarians answer approximately 75,000 requests for research annually - we need to strengthen staffing to be able to provide the best services to our faculty and students.
Facilities
To support the needs of the growing campus, the Libraries must expand student study space and collection spaces. UCI Libraries' buildings receive about 2.3 million visits annually.
In supporting the Libraries you are contributing to the strength of the entire campus, insuring its excellence and growth as a world-class university that will serve the academic needs of students and faculty, as well as the lifelong learning of the community.
