Building Collections of Excellence

One of the Libraries' highest priorities is "Building Collections of Excellence." Ground-breaking faculty research and high-quality student instruction are not possible without first-rate library collections of print and electronic materials.

Leadership gifts to help the Libraries acquire traditional and advanced materials enhance the value of a student's educational experience and lead researchers to new discoveries. Support from individuals who value learning, knowledge, and truth is needed to ensure the excellence of our collections.

We sincerely appreciate our donors who have established a Named Library Fund.

Gifts of $25,000 or more will establish a fund in the donor's name or in honor of someone special in their lives.

• Collection endowments create a profound legacy of a stable source of funds long into the future to acquire important journals, books and other materials.
• Expendable funds provide flexibility to meet immediate needs for journals and cutting-edge research publications in new programs and emerging disciplines.

A special bookplate will be placed in each title that is acquired with the fund. Donors receive much recognition, but the greatest reward is the satisfaction of knowing that you will be supporting the intellectual work of every UCI faculty member and student now and for generations to come.
