Forest J. and Dolores S. Grunigen Library Endowed Fund
The Forest J. and Dolores S. Grunigen Library Endowed Fund was established in 2002 by Mrs. Dolores Grunigen to reflect the passion that she and her husband Forest shared for UC Irvine, the Libraries, and their love of books and learning. The gift provides unrestricted support for the Libraries’ general research collections.
While the couple dedicated their professional lives to the medical field, their interests extended to many other areas. The Grunigen Fund provides a permanent stream of resources for the Libraries to acquire books and other academic materials across all academic disciplines, such that all of the couple’s diverse intellectual pursuits are represented.
Materials purchased with this fund include:
- Eighteenth-century coffee-house culture / edited by Markman Ellis
- Brunner & Suddarth's textbook of medical-surgical nursing
- Gerontological nursing : nursing review and resource manual : continuing education source, nursing certification review manual, clinical practice resource / Paula Gilman, Patti Parker and Patricia Tabloski
