Carole Creek Bailey Library Endowed Fund
The Carole Creek Bailey Library Endowed Fund was established in 2004 with a generous gift by Carole Creek Bailey, a 1974 UCI Social Sciences alumna. The fund supports the acquisition of materials in social sciences and history, two disciplines of keen interest to Mrs. Bailey.
Carole Bailey was the first alumna to establish an endowed fund at the UCI Libraries. A lifelong reader, she was a dedicated and generous supporter of the Libraries until her passing in June of 2009.
Materials purchased with this fund include:
- Doing without concepts / Edouard Machery
- The Beijing Olympics : promoting China : soft and hard power in global politics / edited by Kevin Caffrey
- Dilemmas of internationalism : the American Association for the United Nations and US foreign policy, 1941-1948 / Andrew Johnstone
- The science of crime measurement : issues for spatially referenced crime data / Martin A. Andresen
