Carole Creek Bailey Library Endowed Fund
The Carole Creek Bailey Library Endowed Fund was established in 2004 with a generous gift by Carole Creek Bailey, a 1974 UCI Social Sciences alumna. The fund supports the acquisition of materials in social sciences and history, two disciplines of keen interest to Mrs. Bailey.
Carole Bailey was the first alumna to establish an endowed fund at the UCI Libraries. A lifelong reader, she was a dedicated and generous supporter of the Libraries until her passing in June of 2009.
Materials purchased with this fund include:
- Cashing in on crime : the drive to privatize California state prisons / Karyl Kicenski
- American women in Gilded Age London : expatriates rediscovered / Jane S. Gabin
- Economics and regulation in China / edited by Michael Faure and Guangdong Xu
- Prison state : the challenge of mass incarceration / Bert Useem, Anne Morrison Piehl
