UC Irvine Libraries Digital Bookplate Program

In 2011, the Libraries implemented an innovative Digital Bookplate Program to provide enhanced recognition of gifts made in support of the Libraries' collections, either through Honor with Books or Named Collection Funds

As the Libraries' collections are increasingly electronic in form, digital bookplates provide the opportunity for both print and electronic books to be selected in recognition of donors and their honorees.  Digital bookplates make it easy for donors to share online the impact of their giving and their commemorative bookplates with family and friends.

For titles selected through Honor with Books or Named Collection Funds, a commemorative digital bookplate and recognition note are added to the online catalog record. For generations to come, each time the title is viewed, the donor will be recognized, and their gift will be appreciated.
